ALASKA HIGHWAY LEFTOVER
All along the Al-Can Highway there are leftovers from the original construction. The 1,600-mile road was built in 8 months, mostly by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as a supply route in World War II. A wonderful variety of vintage trucks and equipment that were abandoned along the way still remain.
