About Bobbie…
Bobbie began her pursuit of art at an early age painting a detailed depiction of Robinson Crusoe’s jungle camp on her bedroom wall in black crayon. Her creativity was not exactly lauded by her audience. She has since moved to smaller works preferring to work in a variety of media, including watercolor, pencil, ink, coloured pencil, pastel, acrylic, and mixed media.
With a background in graphic arts she worked with her husband, Mike, as Carrousel Graphics in Jackson, Wyoming. After selling their business, she served as art director for Pioneer Press, and later at the Jackson Hole Guide. She was asked by the local school district to initiate a graphics course at the high school, which became her passion for the next 25 years. During that time she continued to work part-time as a web builder and graphic designer for select clients.
After retiring from teaching, Bobbie continued her graphic business changing her focus to designing books and helping her clients negotiate publishing options. This gave her the opportunity to have a mobile office and travel with her husband in their motorhome.
Now fully retired, and losing her husband to cancer, she spends the winter making art, hosting women for Bible study, reading, and knitting; the summer is spent travelling in her motorhome with her 2 cats, Beau and Saska.
